How are you today?
Recently, we are having a nice weather; Not too cold, just the right temperature. That’s one reason why I like the Fall season.
Anyways, we are nearing the end of the year. It’s expected that our junior high school students should have written quite a lot in their journals already. After checking their journals for some time, Olga and I noticed that some of them were writing the same sentences over and over again. So we thought of a way to somehow motivate them to try and write more.
And that is, showing them the journals of our two 3rd year junior high students. These we’re some of their impressions after seeing the journals:
“Is this for real?”
“How can they write so many things in one page?”
“This must have taken them a long time to write.”
“That’s too hard, I can’t do it.” and so on…
We told them that, “The students who own these journals were not forced to write this long and were just doing their best to write their feelings and experiences. They are studying English for some time now and are studying diligently. We’re not saying that you should do it like this, just try and do it better. If you do that, writing this long will not be impossible.” 🙂
I hope we’ve motivated our students a little by doing that. It would be rewarding for us if it did.
It is really not impossible to learn English, even for you.
See you in the future!
